How long have you been on DeviantArt?
According to my timeline, 11 years, a long time ago.

What does your username mean?
It means "Crash" in Japanese, 'cause Crash as a username is always taken. It's stuck though, I now go by "Koo" as a name out in the weird world of reality, I like it.

Describe yourself in three words.
Weird, creative, cynical.

Are you left or right handed?
Right-handed, my left hand isn't that bad as far as hands go, but I wouldn't trust it with a pen, pencil, brush or knife.

What was your first deviation?
Snarling Dilandau by Kurashi ... I was really into "Escaflowne" and was trying to copy screencaps, plus Dilandau was a cute little psycho.

What is your favourite type of art to create?
Probably simple cartoon drawings of stuff that makes me laugh, I enjoy drawing Quintus and Flintlock a lot.

If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Digital art. I'd need the tech' and software, but I reckon I could be quite good if I had it, certainly a lot faster.

What was your first favourite?
just a reflection by boheme ... I was a moody teenager, I liked weird things.

What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Fun cartoony stuff, hot women, mechs, cute demons.

Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
... Probably jollyjack , he drew Quintus for me   Demoncon 6 Quintus by jollyjack, plus he draws very sexy women, he makes me laugh and I really like his style.

If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
:devalohalilo: because he's one of my favourite animators, he draws beautifully curvy women in skimpy outfits, plus Lilo & Stitch, big fan.

How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
Given me someone to talk to... I get quite lonely.

What are your preferred tools to create art?
Rum, Rotring CORE Mechanical pencil, Rotring CORE Fountain Pen, Sharpie, paper, Derwent colouring pencils.

What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Bedroom. Private sanctuary, nobody really bothers me here.

What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
Looking back on a lot of my work and remembering why I made it in the first place, usually makes me smile or inspires me to create more.

:iconcommissionsopen:

Right, it's that time of year again (when is it not that time of year?)- I'm open for commissions.

Trawl through the gallery, see if you find something in the style you want, then note me with the details and we'll bash out the expenses.

EDIT- I should add that I really, really don't like drawing kinky stuff.

AND STOP GIVING ME LLAMAS, I HATE THEM!!

:ahoy:

So, yesterday I went on a big adventure to London. What was I doing? Pah! What was I doing! ... Seeing The Real Tuesday Weld perform, of course! Fairytales and Monsters down at King's Place. It was a lot of fun, got to hang out with the guys, watch some rehearsals (during which there may or may not have been a small fire incident, we're not sure), there were monsters about the place (including Wage, my little Uglydoll :aww: ... Though at one point I went into the green room to find that someone had shoved his hand down under his apron as if he were up to something naughty). There was also running around with monsters, sketching, showing off my drawings, and the handling of a rubber wolf that really felt like it had organs inside it (an odd taxi ride indeed!).

The gig was very much fun, too. Wage and I enjoyed it immensely. Got to see Marcella & The Forget Me Nots perform, which was a very welcome first... Marcella can wail! (Unfortunately I don't know about her whaling skills) Still, much fun, much of the women in pretty dresses playing wonderful music  .

The Weld were fun, as usual. They have a new member, too! A very pretty lady indeed... The first thing she said to me (unbeknownst to her, she didn't know I was in the dressing room on my own ^^; ) was "IS THERE ANY FUCKING BOOZE IN HERE!?" ... There wasn't, and I laughed as the door slammed on her quest for the night. But she was right, there wasn't enough booze, and she's very much an awesome lady, funny too. If I'd had a bottle of rum on me at the time I would have gladly shared :ahoy: She asked me if I thought she'd ruined the band for me, of course she hadn't! She was wonderful and added a new element to the performance... Now if only I can persuade Stephen to do a cover of "The Ghost of Stephen Foster" so that she can play all of that fun violin work... :plotting: :evillaugh: ... www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJzWGk… (video, love it, I say!).

I finally plucked up the courage to ask Don Brosnan for a hug. Just went right out and said it- "Can I have a hug?" I asked him, perhaps with the help of a double Havana Club and Cola. I got my hug, indeed I did, and Stephen joined in too. Don hugs very well because his heart is bigger (marginally bigger than a walnut, according to Stephen). Anyway, Don's great too, wish I could have hung out a little more with him, he makes me laugh (and his hair is always on top form!).

When I got to King's Place I gave Stephen an envelope full of My Little Pony versions of Tuesday Weld, Marcella Puppini and David Piper. That was... interesting. I think they were pleased with them all. Marcella made off with her one straight away. Apparently I flattered them all through this little gesture, but sod it, I don't want to make people feel bad. By the end of the night most of The Weld had decided that they liked the Clive Painter pony most of all... and I have no idea why! They were just a bit of fun.

Oh, before I forget (how could I!), I met Glen Duncan. ... Yeah. My favourite author, the guy who wrote "I, Lucifer" and several other books that I love. I gave him this- kurashi.deviantart.com/art/Lup… as well as a few other trinkets (including a figure of that painting that I need to ask for a picture of). Anyway, he liked the painting (panic over!), as well as the other stuff. I shook his hand, managed a few words that made vague sense (I'm still surprised I managed that, I was expecting garbled nonsense and embarrassed laughter), and got told that there's going to be another book out next year.

What can I say other than that about my first time going back to London in over a year? (for shame, self!) I loved it and I want to go baaa-aack! I miss London. *ahem* It was fun observing the epic quest for booze after the gig, and the strange conversations, lots of giggling, a bit of yelling, stealing of someone's pasta with mystery meat, pretty women in pretty dresses, spying on Stephen singing on stage (not me!)... Lots of fun.

... By the way, this is all probably meaningless if you don't know who The Real Tuesday Weld are. And if that's the case, shame on you! Go look them up now!!

It's been a while since I updated this thing... Thought I'd take a bash at it.

So, what have I been up to? I'm working on a couple of painting commissions (how I loathe thee, purple paint! :shakefist: ), I'm also drawing the characters from Bloody Evolution a lot, and I've been practising drawing the characters from my new story- Second Star Stories- The Tale of Michael Rosenbeck ... I'm having a lot of fun with those, trying out lots of different expressions, and I get to play around with voodoo. The first Second Star Story is still available for purchasing here- www.lulu.com/product/paperback… ... Be warned, it contains scenes of violence, sex, humour, pirates and bunnies :ahoy:

The new story's going to be fun for me, lots of magic, weirdness, fights, and the occasional bit of gore. The lead character is male this time; this is so that no one can accuse me of putting myself into a story (that was never my intention with the last one, it just so happened that she had long hair, but it was white, not blonde!), his name is Mikah (pronounced "Mee-kah"), it's short for Michael, but a voodoo man decided that Mikah fit him better.

I may post some of the sketches soon, but I really need to do some more writing ^^;

So, I've finished lots of paintings, I've drawn a couple of comics, and I'm nearly done with writing "Second Star" ... I need more things to do. Preferably commissions (hint, hint).

Monday (18th) saw me having my first interview in a while. ... Interesting people. Hopeful, but not so much so that I'll get heartbroken if I don't get the job.

Monday also saw my mother getting me this little guy -www.uglydolls.com/#/meet-the-u… found him in a hippy shop... In a bin! He wasn't being thrown away, it was just a tiny, little reduced bin with only him in it. I had seen him a few times in the shop since late June, the only UglyDoll in the entire place. He looked so sad, but I couldn't rescue him because he still cost so much. But on Monday he was under a tenner, so my mother got him for me :aww: Wage and I have been on a trip to Shrewsbury to visit our friend Alex with Flintlock and Ichabod. Wage is very soft, and I think he'll fit in well with the other cousins

Started playing my birthday present that my dear Posh-Tim got me. He got me a special edition version of "Kingdom Hearts- Birth By Sleep" , I've been playing it quite a lot, love it to pieces and will definitely be getting the symbol for The Unversed tattooed somewhere at some point. I'm not stuck on a rhythm problem involving stacking ice cream to a beat, I can't do it because I lack rhythm.

I suppose I should get on with finishing "Second Star" ... I'm at a difficult point and need to write a couple of epilogues after I finish the main plot.
