Newest Deviations

How long have you been on DeviantArt?
According to my timeline, 11 years, a long time ago.

What does your username mean?
It means "Crash" in Japanese, 'cause Crash as a username is always taken. It's stuck though, I now go by "Koo" as a name out in the weird world of reality, I like it.

Describe yourself in three words.
Weird, creative, cynical.

Are you left or right handed?
Right-handed, my left hand isn't that bad as far as hands go, but I wouldn't trust it with a pen, pencil, brush or knife.

What was your first deviation?
Snarling Dilandau by Kurashi ... I was really into "Escaflowne" and was trying to copy screencaps, plus Dilandau was a cute little psycho.

What is your favourite type of art to create?
Probably simple cartoon drawings of stuff that makes me laugh, I enjoy drawing Quintus and Flintlock a lot.

If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Digital art. I'd need the tech' and software, but I reckon I could be quite good if I had it, certainly a lot faster.

What was your first favourite?
just a reflection by boheme ... I was a moody teenager, I liked weird things.

What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Fun cartoony stuff, hot women, mechs, cute demons.

Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
... Probably jollyjack , he drew Quintus for me  Demoncon 6 Quintus by jollyjack, plus he draws very sexy women, he makes me laugh and I really like his style.

If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
:devalohalilo: because he's one of my favourite animators, he draws beautifully curvy women in skimpy outfits, plus Lilo & Stitch, big fan.

How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
Given me someone to talk to... I get quite lonely.

What are your preferred tools to create art?
Rum, Rotring CORE Mechanical pencil, Rotring CORE Fountain Pen, Sharpie, paper, Derwent colouring pencils.

What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Bedroom. Private sanctuary, nobody really bothers me here.

What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
Looking back on a lot of my work and remembering why I made it in the first place, usually makes me smile or inspires me to create more.

I'm afraid I don't know you well enough to get into that, dear.

Greeting, Bori-wrangler! How are your eyes treating you?

My eyes are defying my insistence that they improve, one is SLOOOOOWLY dissolving the blood in its jelly; whilst the other is starting to decline. Went to hospital, doctors are pushing more laser surgery and a creepy procedure for my right eye wherein they hack into the white of the eye, hoover out all of the blood from the jelly, cut loose strands of blood and apply more lasers. ... For some reason the doctors find it confusing that I am reluctant to undergo more surgery. I can't paint any more. And; to top it all off, on Sunday whilst out to my birthday lunch with my (somewhat) estranged father, I got fired over the phone.

The only good thing to happen to me recently was that my favourite author (Glen Duncan, read his work, it's superb!) sent me three hardback editions of his werewolf trilogy; all signed, and the very first hand-written scribblings of my favourite book, "I, Lucifer", which means worlds to me.

Well, nerf! I admit that my indirect training in medicine is veterinary, but seems to me that the first step would be knowing what is causing this problem and putting a stop to that, and then correct the damage it has caused. I imagine they’ve checked the most obvious causes of things like this such as diabetes. I have distinct memories of reading about something just like this and what they had to do to save the vision of a group of kids (the same thing they want to do with you) but I don’t remember the cause. I never remember the most important part...

This is what happened to me a couple of weeks ago…

This might cheer up up, or you might hurt yourself laughing at me…

I'm having to reschedule my next hospital trip so that my wench can be there and make decisions for me in regards to surgery. Doctors get angry at me for getting upset when they shove facts and medical jargon in my face. What it boils down to in my head is that in March they said "Have this surgery or go blind!" ... and now I'm half blind and they tell me I could go all the way, so I don't trust them. Also, drawing is a pain, literally gives me headaches; and I really miss painting.

Congrats on the little'un. I can't really add more to that because kids kind of creep me out a bit, they're so small and easily damaged, they can't communicate, they leak, etc. I was living with both sets of my parents when they had other kids, I was constantly afraid that a tiny creature would burst into the room when I was taking my insulin and that I'd accidentally snap the needle off in my leg ... *ahem* I digress. She's cute, many more congratulations and much happiness wished.

Korra cosplay... Hehe. I don't watch "Avatar", bur I've seen enough fan-art knocking around DA to know you did a fine job indeed, my good sir! I'm waaay too timid to cosplay, people have been hassling me to try cosplaying as Elsa (what with my corpse-pale skin and blondeness), but I'll give it a miss.
